Learning for life

Training helps you and your dog understand each other while developing skills to navigate the world you share. It’s never too young to start formal training with your puppy, if you train like we do! Puppies love to learn, and training classes are a fantastic way to bond with your new best friend. Whether your puppy is in prep school or not, you’ll be supercharging their education!

We offer classes starting with the fundamentals and building up to more advanced skills. Our instructors use positive and effective training methods, combining the science of how dogs learn with the practical skill of how to teach them.

100 — Puppy Fundamentals

Just starting out with your puppy, or enrolled in prep school? This is the class for you!

For puppies 7 weeks – 4 months
Learn the basics of training your new best friend the most effective (and fun) way, with positive reinforcement
More than just sit, down, and come — we’ll cover managing behaviors like biting, chewing, and house training accidents
Expert trainers with years of experience with puppies and adult dogs
Playtime too!
Classes are 1 hour each week, for 4 weeks.
Price: $300

Requirements: At least one set of DAPP core vaccinations, and one Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine*.

* Bordetella vaccination is not part of regular core vaccines. If you are not sure whether your puppy has received the Bordetella vaccine, please ask your veterinarian.

101 — Adolescent Fundamentals

Get ahead of those troublesome teen months with a class tailor-made for this stage of your pup’s life! A great option for recent prep school graduates, or in addition to our daycare.

For dogs 5 months – 1 year old, all breeds
Positive, effective training for the real world
Information and education for dogs transitioning from puppyhood to adolescence and beyond, covering difficult teen behaviors as well as basic cues like sit, recall, and down
Bond with your growing pup by learning together from our passionate expert instructors
Learning uses a lot of canine mental energy, perfect if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed!
Classes are 1 hour each week, for 4 weeks.
Price: $300

Requirements: Full set of vaccinations including at least one set of DAPP core vaccinations, and one Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine.

200 — Puppy Advanced

Time to learn some real-world skills, and practice in distracting environments!

For puppies 4 months – 1 year old
Builds on what you’ve learned in level 100 classes
Focusing on transitioning from training to daily life, including fading food and working with distractions
Low-stress loose leash walking, without invasive and painful tools
Classes are 1 hour each week for 4 weeks
Price: $300

Requirements:

100-level puppy class or a similar, positive reinforcement training dog class from another provider. Please contact us with any questions!
At least one set of DAPP vaccine, and one Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination. * Bordetella vaccination is not part of regular core vaccines. If you are not sure whether your puppy has received the Bordetella vaccine, please ask your veterinarian.

300 — Canine Good Citizen

Prepare your dog to pass her Canine Good Citizen test. In addition to bragging rights, a CGC title can be helpful in securing dog-friendly rental housing and vacation accommodations, and might even help you convince the boss to let you bring your best friend to work.

Whether or not you take the test, this class is terrific training for urban life. Your dog will learn how to greet strangers with impeccable manners, walk calmly with you through crowds and other distracting situations, keep her calm around other canines, and work at a distance.

6 months or older who are dog and people-friendly
Builds on what you’ve learned in 100 & 200-level classes or equivalent
Classes are 1 hour each week for 6 weeks
Price: $400

Requirements:

Friendly with people and other dogs
Positive reinforcement training experience
Minimum 100-level puppy class or equivalent. Please contact us if you are in doubt!
At least two sets of DAPP vaccine, and one Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination.

We limit enrollment to provide quality instruction and maintain safety in our classrooms.

Your registration reserves a spot.

When enrolling, please ensure you can attend all days. There are no make up classes available.

Refunds are available if you cancel at least 7 days before the class start date and will be subject to a $50 admin and processing fee. Cancellations within 7 days of the start date are not eligible for a refund.
